Background[]
Boromir was part of the Fellowship of the Ring in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He was the favourite son of Lord Denethor, the Steward of Gondor, and the brother and best friend of Faramir. A strong but deeply flawed Gondorian warrior, who was the second member of the Fellowship to fall. Lured by the power of the One Ring, he attempted to take it from Frodo at the Argonath. After realizing the Ring was controlling him and coming to his senses, he fought bravely at the Argonath, protecting the two remaining Hobbits, Merry Brandybuck and Peregrin Took (Frodo and Sam had departed soon before the battle to continue on their own for fear their other friends would also fall to the Ring). Boromir died shortly after Aragorn found him from the wounds inflicted by the arrows of Lurtz, and to avenge Boromir, Aragorn decapitated Lurtz.
Dimensions Crisis[]
He was with the rest of the Fellowship when Batman rescued Gandalf from being killed by the Balrog in the Mines of Moria and when Frodo Baggins was sucked into the Vortex, which had both men went into, leaving him and the others in confusion. Later in the Riddle-earth level, he was shown been trapped inside a cage in one area of the besieged Minas Tirith that requires the Flight Dock Ability to free him.

Trivia[]
- He was portrayed by Sean Bean in the films. In LEGO Dimensions, he's voiced by Nolan North, due to Bean being unavailable during the game's development.
- He would have fell under the influence of The One Ring briefly and died from the wounds from protecting Merry and Pippin following the series' storyline, but because of Lord Vortech's interference and kidnapping Frodo and the Ring and Batman rescuing Gandalf, he is still alive in LEGO Dimensions.
