Columbia Pictures is an American film company located at Culver City, California. In film, it is best known for franchises such as Ghostbusters, Men in Black, The Smurfs CGI/live-action films, the Spider-Man films from 2002 to 2014, Open Season and Hotel Transylvania. They are currently a part of Sony Pictures Entertainment, the television and motion picture production and distribution subsidiary of Japanese electronics company Sony who are responsible for creating the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
They are responsible for licensing the rights to use the Ghostbusters franchise (both the 1984 and 2016 films) to Warner Bros. for LEGO Dimensions.
