Background[]
Eugene Kittridge first appears meeting with Ethan Hunt in the Akvarium. When Hunt reveals his awareness of a second IMF team sent to keep an eye on them and learns the job to capture footage of Aleksander Golitsyn of stealing the CIA NOC (non-official cover) list was a setup to lure out a mole within the IMF, Kittridge told Ethan that it was confirmed that the mole is in contact with an arms dealer known as Max as part of "Job 314." Kittridge suspects Ethan of being the mole, and Hunt flees.
After Hunt and his crew successfully steal the CIA NOC the list, Kittridge had Hunt's mother and uncle falsely arrested for drug trafficking. He provides media coverage of the arrest, forcing Hunt to contact him from Liverpool Street Station. When he arrived in London, he received train tickets to Paris and a video watch.
In the train, he commands his crew to surround all around the train to see if there were any errors. As he looks at his video watch, he sees Jim Phelps from Ethan's video glasses which reveals that Ethan is innocent and Jim is the real mole. He then arrests Max and recovers the list, then reinstates Hunt and Luther Stickell as IMF agents.
