K1 is one of the non-playable characters in LEGO Dimensions, from the Doctor Who franchise.
Background[]
The Experimental Prototype Robot K1 was a robot designed and built by Professor J.P. Kettlewell of the National Institute for Advanced Scientific Research from Living Metal. It was intended to replace humans in difficult and dangerous tasks, including mining and activities involving radioactive material.
Although it was programmed to serve Humanity and not to harm it, it was used by rogue scientists to steal components for a top-secret and highly dangerous Disintegrator gun. The robot killed Kettlewell in the process and disintegrated him into atoms.
When Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart tried to destroy it with the captured weapon, he accidentally made it grow to enormous size and it went on the rampage.
It was eventually destroyed when The Fourth Doctor threw a metal destroying virus at it, corroding and shrinking it into nothing.
Dimensions Crisis[]
The Dalek Extermination of Earth
During the Dimensions Crisis, K-1 can be pulled out of a rift in time in London in 2015. After taking Clara Oswald hostage, K-1 can be defeated by throwing debris at him via magic. After his defeat, K-1 falls to the ground, where he will remain for the rest of the level.
