London is home to most of The Doctor's companions, and is the location that seems to be the most affected by the monsters of the Doctor Who Universe. London is also where most of the Doctor's Earth-based adventures take place. In fact, his very first adventure as the First Doctor started in a junkyard (called Totter's Lane) in London.
19th Century London[]
The 19th century was very important to the Doctor. His eighth incarnation once called 19th century England his favourite time and place, though his initial incarnation clearly preferred 18th century France.
