Background[]
Lord Business, also known as President Business of the Octan company and the world, was the ruler of all the LEGO realms in The LEGO Movie. The people of these realms were once free to build whatever they wanted until Lord Business thought that imagination of these builders was getting out of hand and he decided to block off all the realms and arrest all the master builders. When Emmet finds the piece of resistance, he is taken back to Lord Business' lair and questioned by Bad Cop about it.
Eventually, Lord Business' plan is revealed. He was planning to use a stick of Krazy Glue, A.K.A the Kragle to freeze all the inhabitants of the realms and needs to use the power of the master builders to help him achieve this. In the end, however, Emmet managed to convince him that imagination is good and he changed his ways.
Dimensions Crisis[]
Meltdown at Sector 7-G[]
Lord Business is sent by Lord Vortech to The Simpsons World to take over Springfield and recover its foundation element, the Inanimate Carbon Rod that is in Homer Simpson's pocket. After he and his Micro Managers captured Homer, he is confronted and defeated by Batman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf. However, he escapes with the Carbon Rod and sends the trio with The Joker.
All Your Bricks Are Belong To Us[]
He and the rest of Vortech's forces were seen with him on Foundation Prime when Vortech smashes the Thief for his failure in collecting the foundation element.
Trivia[]
- In the film, he is voiced by Will Ferrell. In LEGO Dimensions, he is voiced by Nolan North.
- It's unknown why he helps Lord Vortech because Lord Business tries to restore order in any universe, while Lord Vortech tries to make chaos (though Vortech claims to rid chaos and create his version of "perfection", which Business also stood for). It's also confusing, considering his change of heart at the end of the movie. It could be possible that Lord Vortech must've taken the evil Lord Business from the past and assigned him to find the foundation element from The Simpsons world.
- He is most likely given the Stud Shooter by Lord Vortech, as the Joker and Saruman are shown a pile of weapons when they first meet Vortech on Foundation Prime.
- He is one of the few Vortech helper villains who accomplished his goal.
