Background[]
During the film after The Joker having been emotionally hurt by Batman's insistence that he was not his archenemy, he is seen depressedly watching a news report of Superman who had recently banished General Zod to The Phantom Zone which contains some of the evilest villains in pop culture chief among them was Lord Voldemort, Wicked Witch of the West, Daleks, Agent Smith, and many more. It is here when the Joker concocts his greatest plan to free the villains from The Phantom Zone and conquer Gotham City. When The Joker is sent to The Phantom Zone he is greeted by the various villains whose first impression is to kill him but The Joker quickly states that he plans to set them all free if they help him to destroy Batman and rule Gotham City. Lord Voldemort makes the decision for them all to which all the villains joyfully agree. When Harley releases all the villains, Lord Voldemort is the first to appear taking out half the Gotham City Police Department by turning them into fish or frogs or even a fish-frog. For the majority of the invasion, Voldemort is seen next to The Joker possibly having become his second-in-command. When the bat family tries to stop the villains Lord Voldemort hinders them with a lightning storm which camouflages the weapons and assault vehicles the villains have seized from The Batcave. During the final battle when the bat family and all Batman's B-Z list villains join to defeat The Phantom Zone villains, The Joker gives Lord Voldemort The Phantom Zone Projector to stop them. But he is confronted by Batgirl who after a lengthy battle managed to get The Phantom Zone Projector away from Lord Voldemort and uses it to send him back to The Phantom Zone.
