- So far, every short features a modern character meeting up with a classic character.
- Despite this, Sonic the Hedgehog and Supergirl are not considered modern, as they were created in the 1900s. However, they are sometimes considered as modern.
- Interestingly enough, Sonic's design in this game is modeled after the "Modern" Sonic design. His "Classic" design (which would appear later in a LEGO Ideas Set) would display him as smaller and without green eyes, though he already has the lighter blue fur that Classic Sonic has.

- So far every short has a character meeting a character from a previous wave. The only exceptions are when B.A. Baracus meets Lumpy Space Princess as both are from Wave 6, and when Newt Scamander meets Gandalf as Gandalf is from Wave 1 while Newt Scamander is from Wave 7.
