Munchkins are one of the non-playable characters in LEGO Dimensions, from The Wizard of Oz franchise.
Background[]
The Munchkins are the citizens of Munchkin Town, an area in the Land of Oz. Their leader is the Munchkin Mayor. At one point in this town's history, they were terrorized by the Wicked Witch of the East who once ruled over them.
But her reign of terror over the Munchkins ended very swiftly when Dorothy Gale, an American girl from Kansas, and her dog Toto arrived in Oz via a cyclone, and the Gale house landed on top of the Witch by accident. Upon meeting their unexpected heroine and savior, they showed their gratitude of thanks to Dorothy with the help of the Good Witch of the North in book, the good witch Glinda (the Good Witch of the South in the book) took up the role of the Good Witch of the North in the film. However, the celebration was briefly interrupted by the arrival of the Wicked Witch, the older sister of their terrorizer: she was as equally as imposing and terrifying as her sister that they panicked and hide in fear the moment they saw. After the Witch swore vengeance against Dorothy and Toto and left, they came out of hiding and assisted the two to meet the Wizard of Oz by leading her straight to the Yellow Brick Road.
