Background[]
Grace Balin, also known as Orca, was once a marine biologist who spliced her own DNA with that of a killer whale to repair spinal cord injuries and was transformed into a human-whale hybrid. She became a criminal in Gotham City, acting as an environmental saboteur. Eventually, she fled to Bludhaven and joined the supervillain recovery group the Run-Offs; however, she left them, seeing herself as a freak, and joined robber gang the Whale's Enders.
