Vorton is the main hub area of LEGO Dimensions that contains all the franchise portals in the game.
Bottom Area[]
The bottom area contains the LEGO Gateway, which lets you travel to the next level of the game or revisit past levels from the main story as well as levels unlocked via expansion packs, Battle Arenas and Adventure Worlds.
Upper Area[]
The upper area contains all of the Year 1 franchise portals, which include Gateways to the Adventure Worlds of DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, Ninjago, Legends of Chima, Jurassic World, Scooby-Doo!, The Wizard of Oz, Portal 2, The Simpsons, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who and Midway Arcade, as well as the Mystery Dimension featured in LEGO Dimensions.
Year 2[]
The Shard will appear nearby The Lord of the Rings World portal as an Aerial Faith Plate (PlayStation 4/Xbox One) or a portal (PlayStation 3/Xbox 360/Wii U) to bring you to the Year 2 franchise portals, which include the Gateways to the Adventure Worlds of Ghostbusters (2016), Harry Potter, Mission: Impossible, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies, Adventure Time, The A-Team, Gremlins, Teen Titans Go!, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, Sonic the Hedgehog, Knight Rider, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Powerpuff Girls, LEGO City: Undercover, and Beetlejuice featured in LEGO Dimensions.

- There are pillars with unknown orbs, that resemble vast atoms, floating above them throughout Vorton.
- The destructible objects scattered around Vorton are identical to the destructible objects on Oa in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, albeit with a blue colour scheme rather than green.
- After completing The End is Tri, NPC ally characters appear near the LEGO gateway, including the original Ghostbusters, Robin, Frodo, MetalBeard the Defender Spaceship and GLaDOS as well as The Doctor's TARDIS and a wheelbarrow, all of whom disappear after completing The Final Dimension.
